WhatsApp Settings – Explanation

This setting allows the school to set up WhatsApp Quick Contact Buttons for different panels of Smart School. When enabled, users can quickly open WhatsApp chat with the school by clicking the WhatsApp icon.

The settings are divided into three areas:

  1. Front Site WhatsApp Setting

This setting applies to the school website’s public/front page.

WhatsApp Link (Toggle)

  • Enabled → WhatsApp chat button will appear on the school’s front website.
  • Disabled → WhatsApp contact option will be hidden.

Mobile No.

  • Enter the phone number where visitors can contact the school on WhatsApp.
  • Example:
    9067857657567

Time (From – To)

  • Optional time range when WhatsApp support is available.
  • Helps show the availability schedule to visitors.
  • Example:
    From: 09:00 AM
    To: 05:00 PM
    (If left empty, support is considered available all day.)
  1. Admin Panel WhatsApp Setting

This section is for the school staff/admin panel.

WhatsApp Link (Toggle)

  • Turns ON/OFF the WhatsApp contact button inside the admin dashboard.

Mobile No.

  • Enter the number where admin users (teachers, staff, management) can contact the school support team.

Time (From – To)

  • Sets working hours for when WhatsApp support is active for staff.
  1. Student / Guardian Panel WhatsApp Setting

This setting allows WhatsApp contact from the Student and Parent (Guardian) Panel.

WhatsApp Link (Toggle)

  • Enabled → Students and Guardians will see a WhatsApp support button inside their dashboard.
  • Disabled → WhatsApp option will not appear.

Mobile No.

  • WhatsApp number for student/parent support.
    Example:

Time (From – To)

  • Optional support timing for students and guardians.

How These Settings Are Used

✔ If the toggle is ON, the WhatsApp button appears on the respective panel.
✔ Clicking the button opens a direct WhatsApp chat with the configured number.
✔ Time settings can be used to display support availability hours.
✔ Different numbers can be set for:

  • Website visitors
  • Admin/staff
  • Students & parents

This helps the school manage communication efficiently.
